This is a rare Atlantic Volcano Lava ceramic Christmas tree that is unique and beautiful. It stands about 19 inches tall on its base without the included star and is about 14 inches wide at its widest point. It is glazed in pink, which is a bit lighter looking in daylight and a little bit deeper looking in a room lit with incandescent lighting. The tree also has gold luster applied to it, which gives it a great eye catching look. The inside of both the tree and the base are glazed white, makes cleaning easier. Included are clear bulbs, clear star and a light kit with bulb and 5ft long cord with on/off switch. The bulbs and star are not glued in, so you can take them out and change them in the future if you want. I will include a few extra of the clear bulbs as well. I think it would also make a lovely Valentines day tree or an Easter tree. In the photos are two pictures of flaws in the tree. One on the bottom near the opening and one at one of the creases toward the bottom of the topside of the tree. They were cracks that happened during the bisque firing, which happens sometimes. They have been glazed from both sides and should now be fused. The picture of the one on the crease is from before gold luster was applied, with the gold luster on it isn’t noticeable. Large vintage ceramic light-up volcano style white Christmas tree. This large version has the removable star and from the bottom of the base to the tip of the star is about 22. It is in excellent damage free condition and has been extremely well taken care of. It has a semi-glossy white finish with pink, green, and yellow glitter (for lack of a better word) in the glaze. IMPORTANT: The base is glued to the tree, so in order to replace the light bulb, you’d have to very carefully break the seal. Also, there is a short in the cord, but it does work. There is a chip on the end of a bough, but it has been painted green and blends in. Beautiful 18″ high (tree and base combined, not including the star topper which would add another 1 1/2″) ceramic Christmas tree in lava flow style with white finish and white glitter. Made by Atlantic Mold and numbered “A314-97″. Comes with 1 blue star topper and two sets of interchangeable lights, 100 regular bulbs in various colors and 103 bluebirds. (The tree takes 100 of them). Can use all of one or the other, or mix and match. As mentioned above the bottom of the tree section had a light warp from manufacture causing it to wobble or rock slightly on the base, I have added a felt pad to remedy this. Bottom is marked something about a music box which this tree is not equipped with, but has the working inside light. Lights up nicely, my photos don’t do it justice, lighting washes out the brilliance of the colors. Hard to find style. US buyers only please.
